A 4 hour session using the astronomers choice of telescope ranging in size form 6” to 18”. This is a session based on your knowledge and focus of interest. Our astronomers can go from complete novice to very advanced. |

A 4 hour session using our 20” Maksutov. This session, like all the others we offer, is based on your knowledge and your focus of interest. Our astronomers will help novice stargazers learn and also help the very advanced user learn something new. |

We offer a variety of activities ranging from web cam to CCD imaging. We have a great imager on staff who will help you create some wonderful images. He will be using an 8 inch F/4 Newtonian Astrograph with a ST-10 XME CCD camera with a built-in guider and color filter wheel. He can also use a Canon 40D digital camera if you would like to learn about how use this type of camera.
You will get an understanding of how images are taken with a CCD Camera, learn something about processing and the type of files that are used - such as dark frames and flat fields. You will be given a CD ROM containing the images you have taken. |
